I'm Ryan Habel, 34 year old father of three, Springfield resident for the past 10 years, and parishioner at St. Genevieve’s Parish. With a background in sales and event planning, I bring strong communication and problem solving skills to the table. I’m running for School Board to support academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, and strong community partnerships. I believe in safe, inclusive schools where every student can succeed. In my free time I enjoy gardening, playing softball, and spending time with my family.
I’d be honored to have your vote.

Doug and Jolee, his wife of 43 years, have 3 children, 2 of whom attended Springfield Township High School.  Doug was an avid supporter of the Springfield Girls Soccer program under coach Jenifer Tomlinson.  He continues to mentor kids when given the opportunity, and has always had a heart to see them succeed in whatever positive endeavor they attempt to achieve.

Doug owns his own company in the healthcare construction industry as a medical equipment planner.  One of his responsibilities in this role is to manage multi-million dollar equipment budgets, guarding against overspending. He has a reputation for finding creative solutions to procure what is needed within budget.

“Making appropriate decisions for the best way to invest taxpayers’ dollars for the short-term and long-term benefit of all students is a huge responsibility.  It’s not about politics – it’s about what is best for the students! “
